Welcome to the home page of Panzer Aufklärungs Abteilung 11 (11th Panzer reconnaissance detachment), a WWII German reenactment group that portrays Heer (army) soldiers of the 11th Panzer Division's reconnaissance regiment. Our primary goal is to study and teach others about one of the United States' most capable military adversaries through the demonstration of authentic small unit tactics and the display of uniforms, weapons, and equipment. Click on the "Reenactment Photos" link at the top of this page to view "aged" shots of our group in action.

Based in Northern Virginia, Panzer Aufklärungs Abteilung 11 has members from Pennsylvania to North Carolina and we host and participate in public and private tactical events, living history displays, and other military demonstrations from New York to southern Virginia. We are proud to be founding members of the Mid-Atlantic WW2 Association (MAWW2A), a collection of professional axis and allied WW2 reenactment groups dedicated to improving authenticity and building Kameraderie among like minded units.

Our sole reason for portraying a WW2 German unit is our interest in military history - we are not politically motivated in any way. We respect the Wehrmacht's military accomplishments as much as we abhor the ideology of the regime it served.
